When it comes to a commitment to education, no Board member exemplifies it more than Jennifer Tedford, EdD. And where she lives, there is no shortage of entertainment, either. Jennifer is the Chief Academic Officer for the Beverly Hills Unified School District, a K-12 public school district in Beverly Hills, CA. Dr. Tedford directs all curriculum and instructional programs, teacher professional development, and technology integration throughout the district. Dr. Tedford also oversees the district’s student support programs, including serving on the board for The Maple Counseling Center (TMCC). Current research and professional interests include expanding STEM course options for all students, including historically underrepresented populations. Recently, she was awarded an Arts grant to train visual and performing arts teachers on interdisciplinary practices, including expanding STEM to STEAM for K-12 students.
Dr. Tedford doesn’t just teach kids, she teaches teachers too. Jennifer serves as adjunct professor at Pepperdine University, teaching courses in secondary methods. Dr. Tedford is published in educational journals, including The High School Journal and Principal Leadership on topics related to technology and best practices.
Dr. Tedford holds a bachelor’s degree in English, a master’s in Teaching English, and a doctorate in Education from the University of Southern California.
